Pricing Questions
How much does a personalized children's book cost?
Every book is $44.99 in softcover or $59.99 in hardcover, with standard shipping included. Each one has 16 illustrated story pages in a 32-page printed book, and every printed book includes a digital PDF download. Printed books ship to the United States only for now; outside the US, you can get the illustrated PDF for $19.99.
What's included in the price?
Every book includes: a custom story written from your idea, characters drawn from your photos in the art style you choose, 16 illustrated story pages, and the illustrated PDF. Printed books (softcover or hardcover) add free US shipping and a FREE "Color the story" section made from your book's own illustrations. You can edit the story and redraw pictures before your book prints.
What's the difference between softcover and hardcover?
Softcover books have a flexible, lightweight cover perfect for everyday reading. Hardcover books have a durable, rigid cover that's ideal for keepsakes and gifts. Both options include premium quality printing and the same great content.
Are there any hidden fees?
No hidden fees! The price you see includes your printed book, standard shipping within the US, and digital download.
How does this compare to other personalized book services?
Custom Heroes offers true personalization (not just name insertion) at competitive prices. Comparable services charge $35-65 for template-based books. We offer fully custom stories and illustrations where your child actually looks like themselves - plus you get both printed and digital versions!
Is there a subscription or recurring charge?
No subscription required! Each book is a one-time purchase. Buy exactly what you need, when you need it. Your completed books are accessible for 1 year from your account.
